Dinesh Nivalkar
I am a multidisciplinary contemporary artist and designer based in Mumbai and practicing my arts over the 13 years. A gold medalist from the renowned
Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Arts and Mumbai University. My work is inspired by
a diverse array of resources and experiences in nature, delving into deep meanings and the inherent beauty of natural elements. My work art explores themes of nature, spirituality, and innovation. I approach each piece as
a dialogue, both with the materials and the viewer. My practice is rooted in
a belief that art can be a means of connection, bridging the gap between personal reflection and shared experience. Through abstraction and symbolism, I aim to evoke a sense of familiarity, inviting the viewer to reimagine their own relationships with nature, space, and memory.
In my work, I frequently employ repetitive dot techniques, inspired by the natural patterns found in jackfruit. These dots symbolize the cyclical nature of life: from beginning to end, nature unfolds in interconnected points, always returning to its origins. Each dot represents a moment, an individual element that, when repeated, creates a larger whole. My art mirrors the organic processes that shape the world around us constantly shifting, always in motion, yet always returning to a fundamental starting point.

As a Design Director, I had the opportunity to collaborate with top national and international brands, including Tata Motors, Godrej, Mahindra, Unilever, Nippo Batteries, Nilkamal Furniture, Cargill, Kalpataru, Indiabulls, Cadbury, HSBC Bank, and Bank of Baroda.
